We interviewed Mr. Okino, President and CEO of ONETREE Inc., about the reasons behind the creation of their e-commerce site, their future initiatives, and their outlook.
Interview with Mr. Okino
SOLSTAR (S): Could you tell us about the reasons and background behind your decision to build an e-commerce site?
Mr. Okino: Although we were promoting our newly launched brand through flyers and Makuake, we wanted a central place to showcase all our products. The trigger was your sales proposal. We decided to go ahead with it because we could present our products, store information, and brand concept all together on an official website.
S: How was your experience using the Basic Plan construction service?
Mr. Okino: I was aware of Shopify, but I had never actually used it. Since I could leave everything to you, I decided to go with it. I had been considering migrating to a new e-commerce site for some time but hadn't taken the plunge, so this was a great help.
S: How was the assigned director's response?
Mr. Okino: It was excellent. The explanations were thorough, and they accommodated even the smallest adjustments. I'm very satisfied with how well it was reflected in the store.
S: How about the development process?
Mr. Okino: Although our communication was primarily via email, I felt that the process went smoothly. For example, they were flexible in responding to instructions like "please insert an image here." Regarding terms of service and similar items, from a communication cost perspective, I thought it might have been better if I had entered them directly myself.
S: How was the schedule until delivery?
Mr. Okino: The schedule proceeded as expected (about two months). Sharing materials took a little time, but considering it was a migration from an existing e-commerce site, they handled it smoothly.
S: Please tell us if you encountered any difficulties or have suggestions for improvement regarding the overall service.
Mr. Okino: Overall, there were no major issues, and I am very satisfied. The only thing was that fine-tuning the top image took a little time.
S: Please tell us about your future activities.
Mr. Okino: Going forward, I feel that attracting customers to the official website will be the most challenging part. I plan to focus on SEO measures.
